This is being proposed for the 2011-2012 Game Code Amendment for "The mandate of the use of hunter orange for ground blinds for deer hunting whenever there is a deer firearm season in effect".

What are your thoughts & opinions on having to display Hunter orange on your ground blinds during the firearm seasons?

Would this also apply to blinds that are NOT manufactured? Long overdue.  The blinds should have on all sides the same area that is required for hunters...

Deer hunters, be advised, there will be some changes in rules and regulations for the upcoming 2012-13 deer hunting seasons. Additional licenses, changes in some season dates, ground blind safety and another opportunity to take an antlerless deer with firearms.

This writer attended the before mentioned meeting conducted by Conservation Officers Johnson and Gillam at Bal Hinch Country Store. I also talked with some who had attended the meeting at the Darlington Mini Mart. It is doubtful that hunters in many other Indiana counties will have the advantage of this advanced heads-up before the hunt begins.
