Q: My B/F likes to collect hunting knives..... i know he has a bunch of Buck knives...i was wondering what other good knives there are out there and if there are any collectors items or limited edition ones that are nice?

Buck knives are among probably the most common knife manufacturers for each hunting and kitchen cutlery. Buck knives are known for his or her distinctive form. The edge of every knife is carefully explored and designed, and is created of high-quality materials that enable it to maintain a ultra sharp edge. The discount buck knives brand was founded by Hoyt H. Buck. A Kansas blacksmith, Buck created a technique of heat-treating metal in order that it could hold an edge for much longer than ordinary instruments. This tempered steel was created to maintain the farmers’ instruments that Hoyt labored on from breaking so very easily, however it was soon modified for use on knife blades. By 1941, Hoyt had moved to Idaho, where he started generating knives making use of worn-out file blades as the uncooked materials. Using the entry of the united states into Planet Battle II, the government commenced asking for donations of fixed blade knives for that troops. When Buck learned of this, he setup store in the attic of a chapel, and started manufacturing blades for the troops.
