Power Pro Fishing Line
Q: Do you need to use a mono or fluoro leader with braided fishing line, mainly Power Pro? If so any advice on the weight of the test, I plan on using 15 or 20 lb Moss Power Pro.
A: The two times that a leader is most important is when you want to go a bit more "stealthier" so you don't spook fish AND when your fishing heavy structure and the possibility of getting hung on the bottom is common.

AMERICAN RIVER: There are still some bright steelhead coming upriver. They're taking dead-drifted small nymphs by fly fishers and nightcrawlers, single eggs and roe, and small spinners and spoons by spin fishermen. Monofilament is of no use in frog fishing. Use a braid or superline, because you need a tough line with no stretch. I recommend using PowerPro line or Fireline in a weight of 50-pound test. You need the strength because you will be snagging heavy weeds |
