This Eastern Washington lake opens on March 1 for the early season trout fishery, and there are two other walk-in lakes nearby that can gain just as much recognition.
The one I'm looking for the answer to covers 120-acres, and has an arm that can also be referred to as a fourth lake. This is a selective fishery with a one-fish daily limit.
All are heavily stocked with trout that grow to enormous size, and are serious fly-fishing hound locales cruising around in tubes to get to the hot spots. The shoreline is littered with cattail and tule reeds limiting the bank fishery. As it warms up you really need to keep your eyes open for rattlesnakes.
