Q: The reason why I ask is, I already use braid for spinning, however I wondered if the split shot that is attached to the line when float fishing would damage the braid with dyneema being a woven type fishing line?
A: hi there braid line is not suitable for float fishing as it is more suitable for carp and pike fishing so you can feel the movement of the fish.
you want to be using monofilement or nylon fishing line for float fishing for coarse fishing.
