A SHOOTING star is on target to realising her dream of competing at the Commonwealth Games after accepting an invitation to join the Great Britain archery squad.
Hotshot Marsie Henderson-Hirst, a member of the Darley Bridge-based Derwent Bowmen Archery Club, has already represented Derbyshire, the East Midlands and England at the sport, which she only took up seven years ago.
Now the 15-year-old, from Flagg, has been called up for the Great Britain junior compound archery team and faces trials later this year as she bids for selection for a top international event held in Denmark.
