By way of the 5th pick in the 4th round, 102nd overall, the Cleveland Browns selected Jordan Cameron, a TE from USC.
After going DT (Phil Taylor), DE (Jabaal Sheard), and WR (Greg Little) with their first three selections, the Browns brass opted too strenghten their TE corp with their fourth pick in this year’s draft.
It initially appears that Cameron will be in the mix with Evan Moore and Ben Watson, who both played well last season, for reps at the position.
...The Saranac basketball team struggled against Fulton Wednesday night, suffering a 75-41 loss to the Pirates.
Fulton got going on offense early, taking a 32-14 lead after one. The Pirates extended their advantage in the second, outscoring the Redskins 27-7, to take a 59-21 lead at the half.
Senior Tyler Gorby finished with 10 points, seven rebounds and five assists to lead Saranac. Coach Carmen Brown said she was impressed with her senior captain’s performance on the floor and leadership.
