Q: I have thought about building my own stabilizer to put on my competition bow, but i thought i would ask to see if it is at all possible. What should i use for materials. if this is just a ridicules idea i'll just fork over the cash to buy a prebuilt
A: Sure you could, BUT (and that's a very big one by the way), balance is extremely critical. If you can make one and accomplish that have at it.
I am 15 years old and have had a bow for about 1 year now. I purchased a utilized Mathews outback and it works great! I have a sight, arrow rest, kisser, peep, soon to have a quiver and bow sling. However, 1 issue i don’t have is a stabilizer. How important are stabilizers?? I am employing this bow to hunt, so retain that in mind. Do I require a single like the X-coil, or one with a weighted aspect also??? What kind of stabilizers do you use/like? If any suggestions, please maintain them reasonably low-cost, practically nothing more than $ 50. What are all the positives of having a stabilizer on your bow??, and also if I buy the x-coil do you think I go with black or mix the camos??… All you want to share is welcomed.

3-D Archery Shoots
One of the best ways to practice archery for bowhunting is to take part in what are called 3-D Archery Shoots. They’re held at local Rod & Gun Clubs. A number of local clubs have banded together and formed the Tri-County 3-D Archery League of Southeastern Massachusetts. Here’s a link to their website and schedule: http://www.oldbow.com/tricounty_3d_archery_schedule_2012.htm . You’ll see that they sponsor 3-D Shoots every weekend from the beginning of January until mid-October when the archery deer season opens.
