Q: i shoot archery and i use the actuall feathers on my arrows the parts of the feathers are starting to break off and ruin the feather any way to prevent this from happening in the future thx

A: First make sure they're put on the arrows properly, make sure the shafts were clean when you put it on, make sure they're spaced evenly, put a dab of glue to the front and rear ends of each feather.

Couple spreads word on ways of ancient warriors

The ancient Hoplite warriors demonstrated their bow and arrow skills at an Aurora archery range, aiming at a target 60 feet away.

“I can’t imagine how difficult it is to shoot with all the gear,” said archer Mark Hambly, 23, of Leland, who regularly practices after work.

Mike and Karen Colweck gave a demonstration of how Macedonian warriors fought in full body armor. Their stage was Nock and Feather Kustom Archery at 439 S. Lake St. in Aurora.
