Q: I recently asked a question on here about tying down a hockey jersey and someone responded with use the lace and quarter method. However they didn't provide any insight into this method. I was wondering how to do this and how reliable it is ?

It’s probably happened more than once. They wouldn’t have worn them for the full game, but often when a player’s jersey is being retired or they are being honored by the team, the players on the team will all wear a jersey with that player’s name and number on the back in the warmups and for the ceremony. Both the Kings and the Oilers held ceremonies to retire his number, not sure if the Rangers did, so there’s a good chance this happened at both of those games.
