On days when Jamee Paluay skipped class, the first teacher she heard from was Eric Allen.
He was never upset or disappointed, Paluay remembers, but he was always concerned.

Allen died in his sleep early Wednesday morning at his home on Key Peninsula after a 10-year battle with brain cancer. He was 44.

...CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Willis May spent his first 19 years living in Logan. He's spent the last 19 years with the Hurricane High School football program.
Today, after eight years at the helm of the Redskins program, May officially becomes "former Hurricane Coach Willis May."
May, who compiled a 59-30 record at the school, is relocating to southern Florida after his wife, Melissa, was offered a significant promotion in her career.
"I turned it in yesterday and postmarked it for (March 1) because that's what the school administration asked me to do," May said Wednesday. "My wife's been offered a job where she's making 60 grand more a year taking over her corporate office, and I get to go hang out with my dad and mom, who are in Fort Myers."
