Helping students to get their blood pumping for the Week of Wellness, the Kalamazoo Outing Club (KOC) sponsored two trips to Climb Kalamazoo in downtown Kalamazoo where students had the opportunity to rock climb and get trained as belayers.
This quarter, the KOC has begun sponsoring these trips, which about 10-15 students usually attend. “The KOC started taking groups from campus down to the local climbing gym to raise awareness of climbing early this quarter,” said member of KOC, Sam Lichtman (K’15), “Trips have been a bit inconsistent, and now are occurring 1-2 times per week.”
