All-Area bowling: Big year for Kennewick
20.05.12
KENNEWICK -- The Kennewick bowling program wrote a new chapter in its history this season when Karissa Shiflet rolled her way to the 3A individual title with a six-game pin fall of 1,209 in the state championships at Narrows Plaza Bowl.
And so the Lions junior, who tied Selah's Taylor Jones at fifth in the District 5/6 championships with a three-game series of 524, sits at the top of the Herald's all-area bowling team.
Chiawana senior Echo Kane follows Shiflet on the first team lineup after a fourth-place district finish (524) and a tie at 15th in the 4A state finals, a 1,032 pincount that included a fourth-game high of 200.
